does anybody know anything about outdoor wood burning furnaces?

All I know is that they must have a very high chimney to avoid the wood smoke from over-taking your building at window level. Sight location and wind direction along with distance from the building are all keys to being happy with this type of heating source.You also need to consider how often you need to replenish/refill for continuious operation-(long wood vs common sized wood) and auto dampening features. A well concieved plan along with sight preparation can make for limited attendence to such an appliance resulting in a joy to opperate while laughing at the utility co’s efforts to seperate you from your hard earned cash.
